Eluemuno accuses APC of trying to destabilise Ohanaeze

Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State Chapter, Elder Chris Eluemuno, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to destabilise Ohanaeze for endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2015 elections.

“I want to warn them that they are fishing in troubled waters and that they should desist from what they are planning,” he said, adding:

“We are aware that some people are trying to destabilise Ohanaeze simply because they don’t want Ohanaeze to endorse the President. That is what is happening now and we are handling the matter.”

Eluemuno, who was speaking in Awka while receiving the Pillar of Exemplary Leadership Award, declared that any candidate that would be supported during the forthcoming presidential election must be one who is willing to implement the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference.

He advised Anambra voters to vote only for candidates that will bring about good representation to the communities and state at large.

The Ohanaeze chieftain disclosed that he had been approached by over 10 groups for awards but turned most of them down. He expressed gratitude to Leadership and Role Model Award of Nigeria for the award, saying he did not expect it.

Earlier in his speech while conferring the award on Eluemuno, the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Comrade Uche Agu, said Eluemuno deserves the award because of his pedigree.

He hailed the Ohanaeze state chairman for putting his talent to the use of the public which, according to him, is the reason why he has attained great heights in life.
