Today’s weather to be characterised by dust haze, cloudy condition: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Monday November 7, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze is expected over Kano, Yelwa, Sokoto, Katsina, Gusau, Dutse, Maiduguri and Nguru which may keep horizontal visibility within 1-3km. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze condition are anticipated over the central cities which may keep their horizontal visibility within the range of 3-5km. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33 – 35°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated over the inland and the entire coast in the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the inland cities of the southeast and the coast including Calabar, Port Harcourt, Ijebo-Ode, Warri, Yenegoa, Ikom and Obudu in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 – 34°C/
