Expect dust and haze today in the North, clouds in the South

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, November 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze will prevail in the area and visibility will remain between 1-3km over cities such as Kano, Sokoto, Nguru, Kastina and Maiduguri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 35 – 37°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze condition are expected to affects some areas around the Central states while partly cloudy skies are not unlikely over few areas like Lokoja, Makurdi, Ilorin and Jalingo during morning hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28 – 34°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy morning is anticipated over the region. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms in few places over the southern region like Akure, Oshogho, Owerri and Awka including coastal areas such as Benin, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Lagos, Eket and environs in the evening/night hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32 – 33°C.
