The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Saturday, November 5, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze is still expected to dominate the region with further deterioration of horizontal visibilities of less than 1200m anticipated over Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau, Zaria, Kano and Katsina. While Maiduguri, Potiskum, Nguru, Damaturu and Yola should have better visibilities of between 1-3km. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34 – 39°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Haziness is expected over Minna, Abuja, Bida, Bauchi, Jos, Lafia, Jalingo, Ibi and Yola. Partly cloudy conditions should prevail over Makurdi, Lokoja and Ilorin. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 36°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the southern cities. Thundery activities are likely over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Ekiti, Enugu, Benin, Warri, Awka, Umuahia, Asaba and Abakaliki in the evening hours. Thunderstorms are anticipated around same period over Owerri, Ogoja, Ikom, Calabar, Yenagoa, Uyo, Eket and Port Harcourt. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34°C.
