Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has advocated for a review of the revenue allocation formula to reflect the current revenue status of the state.
Receiving the management team of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in his Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta office yesterday, the governor emphasised that Ogun State is second to Lagos in terms of contribution to the federal purse from the non oil sector.
Amosun urged SEC to put up an office in the state, assuring also, that his administration would support the commission and its financial literacy campaign.
The Director General of the commission, Alhaji Mounir Gwarzo, in his remark, said in the determination of SEC to inculcate the culture of financial literacy in the people, it would kick start its financial literacy programme amongst secondary school students in Ogun state.
He commended the governor for his developmental strides in the state and solicited the support of the people for the government.
