Why we voted against Buhari’s $29.9 billion foreign loan request: Senate Leader

Senate Leader Ali Ndume has said that the senators voted against President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for a $29.9 billion foreign loan due to technical issues.

While briefing newsmen shortly after plenary, Ndume said he was shocked but admitted that the request could not be approved because of the technical issues.

He did not elaborate but expressed optimism that the request would get favourable consideration after being re-presented with the technical issues sorted out.
