Update: Ozekhome back home, addresses press on experience in kidnappers’ den

Popular lawyer and human rights activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome, has safely returned to his Lagos residence in South-West Nigeria and is in a hurry to speak on his kidnap experience which started August 23.

“He will hold a press conference by 12 (noon) today at his house in Igando, Lagos,” his friend, Olusegun Adeniyi, told News Express. “I just spoke to him and he confirmed this,” Adeniyi, a senior journalist, author and columnist, added.

As earlier reported by News Express, Chief Ozekhome, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regained his freedom after almost three weeks in the kidnappers’ grip.

He was kidnapped on Friday afternoon, August 23, along the Benin-Auchi Road in his native Edo State on his way back from his hometown, Auchi.
