Former Big Brother Naija star, Nengi, has officially confirmed her pregnancy while debunking rumours linking the unborn child’s paternity to the governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri.

In reaction to the viral speculations, Nengi took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, expressing frustration over the ongoing rumour.

She described the rumours as false and clarified that her pregnancy had nothing to do with any governor.

“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits so let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any Governor,” she wrote.

Nengi explained that she decided to speak out because the rumours were not only tarnishing her image but also affecting people she holds in high regard.

She insisted she would not allow anyone to turn a personal part of her life into something ugly.

“I’ve chosen to speak coz this isn’t just an attack on me, it involves people I hold in the highest regard, and I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life be turned into something ugly,” she added.

Nengi concluded by urging people to respect her privacy as she continues to enjoy her pregnancy in peace, wishing everyone love and a happy Valentine’s weekend.

“While I continue to mind my own business and enjoy my pregnancy in PEACE, I wish y’all Love and a happy Valentine’s weekend”, she stated. (Nigerian Tribune)
