Nollywood star Yul Edochie

Ace actor, Yul Edochie, has lashed out at people insulting and trolling him on social media for taking a second wife, saying that it is his business.
Edochie who took to his Instagram page to speak regretted that Nigerians are shadow chasers.
He wondered why people will choose to be bothered about his personal life than talking about the issues destroying the country.
Edochie said: “This is why politicians don’t take people, Nigerians seriously. Instead of talking about issues that concern our country, you are concentrating your energy on someone’s personal life. Have you people ever channelled this kind of energy to the issues we have in Nigeria?
“I don’t owe anybody any explanations except my wife, May. Let’s be honest and factual here. There are men who have children with other women they are not married to and there are also women that have children for several men they are not married to, clergies men that I talk about the problems in Nigeria, I get 600 to 2000 comments or more but as soon as I went open with my actions, I get 60000 comments. What is wrong with you people. This is my private life we are talking about here. If I like I can marry ten wives, it’s my life and I’m not answerable to anybody except my wife.
“I can wake up and decide to take fifty wives, it’s my life and choice, not yours. Mind your business.. Yes, I’m a celebrity, I do films, I have a fan base and people love me. I’m very grateful for the people that I do, but you all must understand that, I have my private life and i must take charge of it. I cannot take decisions based on my private life and everybody is killing themselves over it, shame on you. Have I ever come to interfer in your private life?, no, and I will never do that. I have a right to make decisions that I feel are okay for me. You have your own problems that are disturbing you, focus on that. Besides, Nigeria has bigger problems that should be more concerned about. Leave me alone to live my life. Shame on if you wake up every morning and all you to do is to talk about Yul Edochie.
“Look at the female singer that died. Everyone was saying that she should have speak out, now a man came out to own up to his responsibilities and said, yes, this is what I did, and everybody feel they have the right to judge me. Shame on you.”
