Cloudy skies
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, February 15, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze conditions are expected over Maiduguri, Yola, Katsina, Kano, Nguru, Gombe and Damaturu in the next 24 hours while the northwestern cities like Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa will be under moderate dust haze conditions. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37°C and 13 – 19°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: This region is anticipated to be in dust haze conditions during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 38°C and 12 – 21°C respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions and mist patches are expected over the inland and coastal cities of the region in the morning hours respectively. Later in the day, hazy conditions are anticipated over the inland cities of region with some chances of isolated rain showers over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 37°C and 20 – 27°C respectively.
