The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, December 18, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: This entire region should still be under dust haze conditions except over Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau axis where visibilities should range between 2 – 5km throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37°C and 12 – 24°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 37°C and 12 – 20°C respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the entire inland cities in the next 24 hours. Early morning mist/fog patches will prevail over the coastal cities, while places like, Ikeja, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa and Eket axis will experience localised thunderstorms later in the day. Other places within this region should be cloudy in the afternoon/evening hours. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 37°C and 20 – 23°C.
