A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT27, has described the security challenges facing Ondo State as a matter of national concern saying all hands must be on deck to protect lives and property of all citizens.
The security threats, recently reached a head for the residents of Ilu-Abo and its environ in the Akure North Local Government Area following the attacks by kidnappers.
The group, however, assured residents of Ondo State that comprehensive efforts are underway to restore lasting peace and stability across affected communities.
Adesuyi Adojutelegan, the Director-General BTO4PBAT27, while speaking during the conclusion of the group’s second phase of grassroots mobilisation in Akure North Local Council Area as part of a strategy to strengthen community engagement and consolidate support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, however, said that no stone will be left unturned in restoring peace and normalcy.
According to him, “the security situation affecting our people in Ilu Abo and surrounding communities is deeply troubling and has risen beyond local concern to become a national issue requiring urgent attention.
“We want the people of these communities to know that efforts are already underway to ensure a permanent resolution to these challenges. No stone will be left unturned in restoring peace and normalcy.”
Adojutelegan, who called on all party faithful to remain committed and work tirelessly to ensure that Tinubu secures a convincing victory in the forthcoming election, stressed that Ondo State must deliver a strong winning streak across all 18 local government areas of the state as a demonstration of the people’s continued support for the administration.
Femi Oluwalade, the Coordinator of BTO4PBAT27 in Akure North, who also spoke during the engagement, urged residents and party supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively to ensure overwhelming support for Tinubu in the forthcoming elections.
He emphasised the importance of unity, commitment and active participation in the democratic process.
Also addressing the gathering were stakeholders, including Jimoh Dauda; Mrs Akande, the Ward Chairman of Igoba Ward; and Mr Femi, the Ward Youth Leader, who encouraged members of the support group and residents to remain committed to the mobilisation efforts while strengthening political participation at the ward and community levels.
