Afrobeats singer Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay, has alarmed fans with a Snapchat rant revealing a resurgence of his depression, triggered by frustrations with recording contract and music industry dealings.

He expressed regret over past decisions, slamming contracts, labels, the music business, his younger self and his manager.

He wrote: “F*k contacts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F*k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again”.

This follows a July 2025 split with former manager Awoniyi, which Awoniyi called amicable, though Omah Lay’s label mate, Kaestyle, claimed Awoniyi was fired.

Omah Lay has previously been candid about his mental health struggles.

His debut album, Boy Alone, released July 15, 2022, reflected his battle with depression.

In 2022, he disclosed that an inappropriate relationship with his therapist worsened his emotional state.

Known for his “Afro-depression” style, his music connects deeply with fans, and his latest outburst has sparked both concern and speculation about new music. (The Nation)
