Taye Currency reacts to death rumours, alleged collapse in London

Fuji music star Taye Akande Adebisi alias Taye Currency

Fuji music star Taye Akande Adebisi, also known as Taye Currency, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media platforms about his health, asserting that he is in good spirits and robust health.

Addressing the speculation in a phone conversation with his spokesperson, Tope Eluyefa, Taye expressed surprise at the unfounded claims that had been spreading.

There were fears about Currencys health after rumours emerged that he collapsed in London during his performance and was rushed to the hospital.

However, Currency, emphasised that his recent performances, streamed live on various social media platforms, attest to his well-being, negating any suggestion of collapsing or requiring hospitalization.

I want to reassure my global audience, especially my fans in Nigeria, along with my family and friends, that I am fit, healthy, and actively engaged in my endeavours worldwide, Taye affirmed.

The propagation of such rumours only serves the interests of my detractors. Thanks to the Almighty, Ive been energetically fulfilling my commitments.

While dispelling the rumours, Taye urged for responsible journalism, emphasising the importance of verifying facts before dissemination.

He underscored the need for unity and prayer in Nigeria to address prevailing challenges, mentioning his observance of fasting even while in London.

Contrary to reports suggesting a collapse on stage, London-based music promoter Ayo Jamiu clarified that Taye Currencys recent health concern was minor, likely attributable to weather conditions, reflected momentarily in his voice.

Jamiu emphasized that Tayes recent communication with a Nigerian fan might have been misconstrued, leading to the fabrication of the illness narrative.

Having recently embarked on a series of musical engagements in London, Taye Currencys successful performances, broadcast across social media platforms, reaffirm his vitality and dedication to his craft.(Nigerian Tribune: Text, Excluding Headline)
