Dapsey Oil fuel station along Iba – LASU Road, Lagos, South-West Nigeria, recorded low patronage for the second day since the unexplained emergence of an aircraft at the station.

The plane with registration no N972TF was reportedly owned by the late Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries and has the inscription Gabriel Oduyemi World Crusades.

News Express investigations revealed that since the emergence of the plane, sales at the fuel station has drastically dropped. A resident who simply identified himself as Ajayi said that the fuel station prior to this time attracted relatively high patronage but that the opposite has been the case since yesterday morning.

Hear him: “I live not too far from this filling station and I know that a lot of people visit the station to buy fuel but since the emergence of the plane a lot of people have decided to visit other filling stations for the fear of the security personnel.”

Another resident named Samuel said it goes beyond buying fuel. According to him, until people’s curiosity is satisfied people may not be very comfortable patronising the fuel station.

Samuel gave a clue as to how the plane found itself to the station, saying it was obviously with the permission of someone working there.

He told News Express: “The fuel station has barricade which is always locked at night. But, when we woke up and saw the plane the barricade was open that means that somebody from the station was aware that the plane was going to be parked that night.”

News Express requested to see the Manager but was told he was unavailable. None of the attendants agreed to comment on the issue.

Nobody could give an account as to how the plane found its way to the fuel station, but residents simply disclosed that they woke up Thursday to see the plane.

A closer assessment of the plane revealed that it was either towed or wheeled to the fuel station, the right tire was worn out indicating an exposed rim, both wings of the plane were detached and the back light had been destroyed.

A statement issued yesterday by the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh, said that the last person associated with the aircraft is one Captain M. J. Ekehinde, whom News Express exclusively reported last night to be the same person as Captain Matthew Ekeinde, husband of Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde a.k.a Omo Sexy.
