Buhari shocks Osinbajo, NSA, ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari today caught prominent members of his cabinet unawares with his arrival at the Council Chamber at exactly 9.50am for the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The president arrived 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time for the FEC meeting.

Only 19 ministers out of the 36 ministers were around as of the time the president arrived.

Buhari said: “I came too early.” He then called for the recitation of the National Anthem.

The meeting had started before Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari and National Security Adviser Babagana Maguno arrived.

They were however not late as they arrived at 9:55 a.m. for the FEC meeting scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. (Daily Trust)
