Relations of deceased pensioners protest unpaid entitlements

The relations of some deceased persons, who are yet to be paid their entitlements, have staged a protest at the office of the Pension Transitional Department in Abuja, to demand its intervention.

They accused management of the agency of deliberate refusal to forward the relevant information for onward payment of the entitlements of their late relations.

Officials of the Pension Transitional Department, however, promised to do everything possible in ensuring that the affected persons were paid.

Some of the bereaved shared their emotional stories to Journalists, explaining how they have struggled to survive without the presence of the bread winners of their families

Others said they decided to come to the premises of the Pension Transitional Department for the fourth time to know when the situation would be addressed.
