Former Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force at her Lagos residence.
Tacha was allegedly arrested in the early hours of Sunday, August 30, 2026, after reportedly failing to honour multiple invitations from the police.
The report was made public by media entrepreneur Seun Oloketuyi in an Instagram post.
According to Oloketuyi, Tacha had allegedly ignored three police invitations issued between May and August 2026 by the Nigeria Police Force’s National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC).
He wrote, “Tacha has been arrested today by NPF. Arrested early this morning after she was sent three invitations btw May and August by NPF-NCCC but she decided not to honor the IVs.”
The specific reason for the police invitations and subsequent reported arrest remains unclear.
The police have yet to officially confirm Tacha’s arrest or disclose the circumstances surrounding the alleged detention as of the time of filing this report.
Tacha, who rose to prominence as a contestant on the reality TV show Big Brother Naija, has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s entertainment and social media space. (Arise News)
