IGP Arase flags off police workshop on primary health care

The Nigeria Police Medical Services (NPMS) yesterday received a boost, with the flag-off of a five-day capacity building Workshop by the Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Solomon E. Arase, at the International Peace Keeping Training Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The workshop is aimed at strengthening the Primary health care delivery service in the Nigeria Police Medical Services (NPMS).

He remarked that the program is strategic owing to the critical importance of a healthy Police Force, in the realisation of its desire to stamp-out all forms of criminalities in the country.

The opening ceremony which had in attendance Dr. Ado Mohammed, (Executive Director-National Primary Health Care Development Agency), Dr Linus Awute (Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health) and other resource persons, is being attended by Heads of Nigeria Police Medical Facilities across the country.
