An attempt by Boko Haram terrorists to penetrate Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, is being strongly resisted by the Nigerian military.
“Nigerian troops are currently repelling attacks by terrorists around Maiduguri and Mongunu,” according to a news flash by PRNigeria.
Several attempts by the terrorists to attack and take over the two towns in the past had been successfully repelled through intelligence gathering and pre-emptive strikes by the troops.
