CBN Director, Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed reports (not byNews Express) claiming that it has started to float the country’s currency, the Naira.

“There has been NO change in Nigeria’s exchange rate structure,” CBN’s Director, Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, said Wednesday in a statement.

He emphasised that “the CBN has not floated the naira”, adding: “The exchange rate remains stable. Speculations and reports to the contrary are false.”
