The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, April 24, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny condition is expected over the northern cities with exception of Yelwa axis where scattered thunderstorms are likely in the morning hours. Later in the day, there are prospects of localised thundery activities over most places in the region and scattered thunderstorms over Southern Maiduguri and Gombe axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 40 – 42℃and 23 – 28℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely over this region with exception of Abuja, Minna, Mambilla Plateau and Ilorin axis where scattered thunderstorms are probable in the morning hours. There are chances of scattered thunderstorm over the entire central cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 41℃and 19 – 28℃respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Scattered thunderstorm is envisaged over parts of Obudu, Ogoja and the western coast of the southern cities with cloudy condition over the eastern parts in the morning period. Scattered thunderstorms are expected over the region in the afternoon/evening. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 35℃and 21 – 26℃respectively.
