No fewer than three people lost their lives in a two separate accident in Akoko area of Ondo state.
The two accidents, according to a source, was caused by the recklessness of the two drivers.
He explained that the happened along Ugbe/Iboropa road in Akoko North East Local Government Area of the state when a Mazda car had a head-on collision with another vehicle.
He stated that the accident claimed the life of a middle-aged woman who died on the spot.
He said all efforts to save the woman was abortive saying the woman gave up before helpful reach her but was confirmed dead at the State General Hospital in Ikare Akoko.
Similarly, another accident occurred at Victory College road in Ikare, killing the two occupants of the vehicle
It was gathered that the car rammed into a stationary trailer along Bishop Court and gave up immediately.
An eyewitness said the driver of the car was too reckless and lost control of the vehicle before ramming into the stationary trailer.
Confirming the accidents, the unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Ikare Akoko, Mr Yinka Akande, said men of the command visited the scene of the accident to rescue the victims.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Ikare Akoko, CSP Olu Agboola, also confirmed the two separate accident and said the police in the area have commenced an investigation to know the cause of the accident
