Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has tasked his political appointees to win their units during the forthcoming general elections. He gave the charge at a meeting with his political appointees held recently in Asaba, the state capital.

Okowa advised his political appointees to double their efforts and conquer every unit.

The Director General of the 2019 election campaign, Mr. Funkeme Solomon, assured that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is ready for the elections and that everyone has been assigned to deliver his or her unit. “PDP will come out victorious,” he said, adding that the party will not rig in any unit but claim victory legitimately.

Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Peter Mrakpor, warned that anyone involve in electoral violence will face the wrath of the law, noting that “there is no profit in electoral malpractice.”

“We have engaged our youths in YEGAP and STEP for that and I believe they will not think of involving in any electoral violence,” he said.

Mrakpor expressed optimism that PDP will win the 2019 polls squarely.
