Ogun State Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the Ogun Central Senatorial seat, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has kicked off his ward-to-ward campaign, ahead of the 2019 election.
The campaign, which started from Ewekoro Local Government Area on Thursday, saw Amosun visiting the ten wards in the LGA.
He was received by cheering crowd of party faithful and supporters at Obada-Oko, Awowo, Mosan, Wasinmi, Elere/Onigbedu, Papalanto, Arigbajo, Abalabi and Asa and Itori wards, where he promised them quality representation at the Senate.
Amosun also solicited support for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari, urging residents to vote massively for him, to ensure the continued development of the country.
Advising them to vote right in the governorship election in the state, he noted that “the governorship vote is that of liberation” and enjoined the electorate not to allow anyone to come and deceive and enslave them.
He urged them not to release their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to those he said will want to deceive them in the guise of lending them money.
The State Chairman of the APC, Chief Derin Adebiyi, called on the electorate to come out en-masse and vote for Amosun and Buhari in the 2019 elections.
