Five persons are currently cooling off in the Police cell in Anambra State for alleged kidnap of four children in different parts of Umunze community in Orumba South local government area of the state.

The suspects, it was gathered, ran out of luck after allegedly raping a mentally unstable woman and abducting her three-year-old baby boy.

Information has it that one of the suspects had lured the victim and her child, Ifeanyichukwu Obiukwu, with snacks and also promised the woman a bag of rice and wrapper.

Narrating her experience, the victim, Obiuwanne, an indigene of Amazu-Ikpaocha, Arondizuogu in Imo state, said the suspects conveyed her and her son to the bush on two motorcycles and subsequently raped her before absconding with her son.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mohammed Haruna, said the case was under investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
