Northern Senators have removed former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, as Chairman of Northern Senators’ Forum. He was sacked on Tuesday and replaced with Senator Wamakko Aliyu.

Investigations reveal that Senator Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi West, went round to collect signatures to effect the removal of Senator Adamu based on his criticism of the order of elections agreed by the Senate and his outburst against former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The sequence of election drawn up by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was amended last week by majority of both chambers of the National Assembly.
