Sunny weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, February 21, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny conditions will be experience over this region throughout the forecast period except southern Yelwa where there are chances of localised thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 35℃ and 16 – 25℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are envisaged over this region in the morning while places like Abuja, Makurdi, Lafia, Bida and its environs have chances of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 39℃ and 22 – 26℃ respectively, except over Jos where 32℃ /17℃ day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms over some cities like Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and their environs in the morning hours. Later in the day there are also chances of localised thunderstorms over places like Akure, Oshogbo, Ilorin, Shaki and its environs including some part of the coastal region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 39℃ and 20 – 26℃ respectively.
