The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Ground Training Command (GTC), Enugu, has concluded arrangement for a two-day comprehensive medical outreach to Gabon Village in Emene, Enugu.
The Command Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Wing Commander Rose Bello, said in a statement on Thursday that the medical outreach is part of activities lined up for the ground breaking ceremony of the new GTC.
Bello said that the comprehensive medical outreach would be coming up on Feb. 5 and 6 at Gabon Village, Emene, which is the host community of the new GTC Command Headquarters.
“Associated with the establishment of GTC is the need to build a befitting office and residential accommodation for the smooth operation of the Command.
“Consequently, a Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Headquarters Complex has been scheduled to hold on Feb. 7, 2018 by 10 a.m. at Gabon Village, Emene in Enugu,” she said.
Bello noted that following the restructuring efforts by NAF to enhance the effective and efficient projection of air power, and re-strategising of the security dynamics to better handle prevailing security challenges in the nation, two commands were recently established.
“There were the Air Training Command (ATC) with headquarters in Kaduna and Ground Training Command (GTC) with headquarters in Enugu; which were unbundled from the defunct Training Command.
“GTC Enugu is saddled with the responsibility of implementation of policies on all local ground trainings,” she explained.
