The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, September 27, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over most areas in this region during the morning and afternoon hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over southern Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 38℃ and 19 – 25℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorms and rains are anticipated over Yola, Mambilla Plateau, Jos, Abuja, Nassarawa, Makurdi and Lokoja. Elsewhere over this region is expected to be cloudy in the morning. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over places like Abuja, Bida, Yola and Bauchi during the afternoon/evening periods. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33℃ and 20 – 23℃ respectively, except over Jos where 28oC and 17oC day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Localised rains are expected to prevail over Umuahia, Awka, Abakaliki, Calabar, Enugu, Yenagoa, Calabar and Port Harcourt while there are slim chances of localised rain showers over Lagos and Ijebu Ode. Elsewhere over this region is expected to be cloudy in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the entire region including places like Oshogbo, Shaki, Ijebu, lagos, Ado-Ekiti, Iseyin, Akure Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Abakaliki, Yenagoa, Calabar and Port Harcourt in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively.
