The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) early on Saturday morning issued a weather alert indicating the imminence of thunderstorms and rains in parts of the country later today.

According to the weather alert, “A belt of cold clouds are presently over Chad Republic and

Cameroon, approaching the Eastern flank of the country. Signs of rains are already over parts of Borno and Adamawa.”

NiMet forecast: “A few thunderstorms and rains are expected to affect parts of Borno,

Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi, Taraba, Benue, Cross River, parts of the South East and its coast between now and the next 7hrs.”
