Rain showers
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, July 24, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected across this region. In the afternoon/evening, Kano, Gusau, Katsina, Yelwa and Sokoto are expected to have thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 35℃and 22 – 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy in the morning with the prospects of scatter rain shower over places like Abuja, Ilorin, Minna and Bida. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over Makurdi, Lafia, Mambilla Plateau, Jalingo, Jos, Kaduna, Zaria and Abuja. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 27 – 30℃and 18 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 22/15
SOUTHERN STATES: Morning rains are expected over Ibadan, Abeokuta, Lagos, Akure, Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket. In the afternoon/evening, localised thunderstorms are expected in the inland areas such as Osogbo, Akure, Ado Ekiti, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Benin, Enugu and Abakaliki. The coastal states however, are expected to have extended isolated rain.
Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 25 – 31℃and 19 – 24℃respectively.
