Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 12:30 p.m. on October 25, 2026, by troops operating from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Chabbol.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect had allegedly been providing terrorists with intelligence on the deployment and movements of troops at FOB Chabbol, FOB Tungushe, FOB Gajigana and 199 Special Forces Battalion.
