The Osun State Police Command on Monday arraigned a 35-year-old man, Lawal Isiaka, before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for allegedly breaking into the shop of one Awoleye Femi.
Police prosecutor, Mr. Dopamu Olukayode told the court that Isiaka broke into the shop on February 24 and stole 19 motor batteries valued N345,000.
He said the action of Isiaka is contrary to and punishable under section 413, 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34 Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
When his charges were read to him, the accused person pleaded not guilty of the charges levelled against him.
His counsel, Mr. Lukman Adeniji also prayed the Court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms possible.
In his judgment, Chief Magistrate Olusola Aluko granted the accused person the bail of N100,000 with two sureties and then adjourned the case till the April 3, 2017.
