The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, February 25, 2017:

NORTHERN REGION: Dust haze conditions are expected to prevail over this region, with visibilities ranging between 2,000 – 5,000m and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m over the north down to the central cities in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31-40°C and 13-24°C respectively.

CENTRAL REGION: Dust haze conditions are expected over this region with visibility of 2,000 – 5,000m in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 39°C and 15- 24°C respectively.

SOUTH-EAST REGION: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 - 38°C and 21 - 25°C respectively.

SOUTH WEST REGION: Day 1: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over the inland of this region in the morning with prospects of localised rain shower over some part of the inland cities like Abeokuta, Ado-Eketi, Ibadan and Akure and the coastal cities in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 - 38°C and 22 - 27°C respectively.

SOUTH-SOUTH REGION: This entire region is expected to experience partly cloudy in the morning with prospects of localised rain shower cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, and Warri Eket in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 - 38°C and 19 - 24°C respectively.
