President Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday spoke with Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, saying he was feeling better.
The president who spoke with the governor in a telephone conversation that lasted for three minutes, thanked Nigerians for their concerns and prayers for him.
The conversation took place at the Kano Government House while a special prayer session organised by the Kano state government was in progress.
Ganduje was addressing the Ulamas when suddenly Alhaji Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, Buhari’s personal assistant on broadcast media, connected him with Buhari on phone for the conversation.
“Hello Sir, how are you, Sir?” Ganduje said on the phone.
“I am fine,” the president responded.
“Sir, from your voice, I can understand that you are feeling better. Your voice sounds strong.” Ganduje said.
“Alhamdu lillah, I am feeling better,” Buhari said.
“Sir, I am here with over 1,000 Ulamas praying for you and the country,” Ganduje told the President.
“Alhamdulillah, May Allah accept your prayers. Please extend my gratitude to the scholars. I thank you all,” Buhari concluded.
The over 1,000 scholars that converged on Kano Government House for the special prayer for Buhari were from the 44 local government areas of the state.
Also, the Kano State Government has asked over 7,000 chief Imams of Juma’at mosque across the 44 local government areas of the state to offer special prayer for the president in their respective mosques this Friday.
