The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday February 23rd, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be under moderate dust haze conditions with visibility range of 2 – 5km, except Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Katsina, Kano, Nguru, Gombe and Damaturu which may likely experience horizontal visibility range of less than or equal to 1000m. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 - 37°C and 14 - 19°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: This region is anticipated to be in dust haze conditions with visibility range of 2 – 5km during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 38°C and 15 – 24°C respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions and mist patches are expected over the inland and coastal cities of the region in the morning hours respectively. Later in the day, cloudiness will prevail over the southwest coast while hazy conditions are anticipated over the inland cities of region with some chances of isolated rain showers over Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 34 - 37°C and 20 - 24°C respectively.
