The National Coalition of NGOS for Good Governance and Accountability (NCNGA) is organising a conference on Good Governance and Rule of Law. The theme of the conference is ‘Achieving Greater Impact on Anti Corruption Drive Using Web-based Citizens Reports’.
A statement signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Eze Harris Chuma, offered an open invitation to the public for the event scheduled to hold at ZANZIBAR, 31 Old Anwai Road, Asaba, Delta State ca[ital, on February 22 and 23, 2017. The event runs from 10am to 3pm each day.
The event, which is expected to be graced by the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, is also expected to feature 15 Nollywood Filmmakers who will be empowered/funded to produce advocacy short films on anti-corruption.
Also, 25 Social Media bloggers will be empowered to run web based anti corruption blogs while 10 musical artistes will be empowered to make radio/audio jingles for anti corruption campaigns.
There will also be anti corruption lectures to discuss, interact and learn from the pool of intellectuals, and engage civil society organisations, media organisations and artistes as they marshal out the next action plan against corruption.
There will be free accommodation for CSO and NGO operators in attendance.
“This event is free, and open for all anti corruption campaigners, activists, student organisations, youths associations, Nollywood artistes/filmmakers. Also, there will be free meals all through the event.
“Certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants at no cost. Come, Let’s work to end corruption in Nigeria,” the statement read.
