The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, February 9, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is anticipated to be under moderate dust haze conditions with places like Kano, Nguru, Dutse, Potiskum, Maiduguri and Damaturu experiencing thick dust haze in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 39°C and 14 – 24°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze conditions are expected over this region during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 39°C and 14 – 24°C respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Morning isolated thunderstorms are likely over Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Abeokuta and its environ while cloudiness is anticipated over the inland of the South-East and the coast. Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the inland cities while cloudiness is anticipated over the coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 36°C and 22 – 24°C respectively.
