Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke
Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), working alongside operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), have rescued six kidnapped victims in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The victims were rescued at about 7 p.m. on October 26, 2026, after troops of Sector 3 OPWS deployed in Kabba responded to reports of kidnapping activities along the Kabba axis.
The suspected kidnappers reportedly fled before the troops could make contact with them.
One of the rescued victims was a student of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, who was reportedly kidnapped on Oct. 18, 2026.
The other five victims were also rescued during the operation. (Zagazola, excluding headline)
