The Kwankwasiyya Movement has expressed concerns over the alleged absconding of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the State for over 17 days without concrete reasons.

The Movement spokesperson, Dr Habibu Muhammad Mailemo, said on a local radio that Governor Yusuf has been away from Kano for over 17 days and his whereabouts could not be ascertained.

In the same vein, the Kwankwasiyya Movement accused the State Government of allegedly spending N10 billion on entertainment and other unnecessary programs.

Dr Habibu hinted that he could not understand why the Government could embark on unnecessary extravagance of spending N10bn on meetings, entertainment and other what he terms baseless activities.

He said that while the State is still having hundreds of street boys roaming about without being in Schools, unequipped hospitals and a lack of adequate educational materials, they are spending N10bn on flimsy excuses. (New Telegraph)
