Actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she has been battling severe pain and mobility challenges for several months, explaining her prolonged absence from social media.

The actress disclosed this on Saturday in a birthday video shared on her Instagram page as she marked her 25th birthday, appearing in a wheelchair.

In the video, Daniels said she was praying for peace and calm as she entered a new phase of her life.

“Hi everyone. It’s my Silver Jubilee. In this new phase of my life, I pray to God for total calm. Happy birthday to me,” she said.

The actress explained that her health challenges began as a minor issue but gradually worsened, affecting her ability to move freely.

“For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she said.

According to Daniels, her condition deteriorated after the last public event she hosted, a Children’s Day carnival.

She said she had undergone several medical tests since then, joking that the frequency of the tests had made her feel like a “lab rat.”

“But things took a major turn after the last public gathering I hosted, my Children’s Day carnival. It’s been one test after another, and I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat,” she said.

Describing the severity of her condition, the actress said the pain had become excruciating, with her ability to walk fluctuating.

“The pain became, how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she added.

Daniels also spoke about the emotional toll of her health struggles, saying she had cried over her condition and continued to seek divine intervention.

“I cried. I looked to God for His divine healing, as He alone has the final say on my life,” she said.

In the accompanying Instagram post, the actress acknowledged that her followers might be surprised to see her in a wheelchair.

She explained that she shared the video to address questions about her absence and update those who had expressed concern about her well-being. (The Nation)
