Chief Ifeanyirochukwu Chukwujekwu, who is also known as Eze-eziokwu, Ijele Obosi, has called on Obosi natives to support Obosi United FC, saying that they should be the twelfth player of the club when it plays football matches.

Ijele Obosi gave Obosi people the advice on September 30 via WhatsApp call from his base in South Africa because Obosi United FC is participating in the 2026 Akubudike, Anambra state football league.

The illustrious son of Obosi urged the indigenes and residents of the town to go to Obosi township to cheer the club whenever it will play its home matches, there.

“I beg you to go to the Obosi township stadium to cheer the club when they play home matches in the ongoing 2026 Akubudike Anambra state football league,” he said.

Speaking further, he said that the club needed financial, material, and moral support to sustain and continue its participation in the 2026 Akubudike, Anambra state football league.

“This club needs all types of support from Obosi people in order to win laurels in football competitions. Therefore, I am begging Obosi-born politicians vying for elective posts to donate jerseys and buses to the club,” he begged.

More so, Ijele Obosi expressed happiness that the Obosi township stadium was designated match venue for the home matches involving Obosi United FC and Ozalla FA of Obosi, the Obosi-based football clubs, which are participating in the 2026 Anambra state football league.

“I am happy that the game of football has been brought to our doorstep. Now, our stadium is being used for the 2026 Anambra state football league.

“So, the economy of Obosi will be boosted as commercial activities in the town will increase owing to the influx of people into Obosi to watch the 2026 Anambra state football league,” Ijele Obosi said.

While concluding, he said that the Obosi United FC’s participation in the 2026 Akubudike Anambra state football league would unite the people of Obosi as Obosi people who are at dagger’s drawn with one another would bury their differences and unite to cheer the club to victory during the league matches.
