Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma, OPFY have facilitated the unconditional release of ten abducted victims in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Reliable military sources said that the victims were received at about on April 30th by troops on checkpoint duty at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Maro after their release from a suspected terrorist camp.

The sources added that preliminary investigations revealed that the rescued victims were abducted on Jan. 4, 2026, at Unguwan Gamu.

According to the sources, the rescued victims were subsequently handed over to a representative of the Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area for further care and reintegration.

The sources also said that security efforts are ongoing to track down the abductors and prevent reoccurrence of the incident in the area.

All efforts to get the spokesman of the State Police Command proved unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
