I have spent quite some time observing some people who said that they are ready to do anything to become successful.
According to them, the already successful ones are the same human beings like them –
the same one head, two eyes, two hands, two legs and, most of all, created by the same God.
So, in order to try to become successful, they work harder, worker longer, pray longer and sacrifice more.
But in the end, it feels to them as if success is just out of reach, an impossibility.
In fact, to them, success becomes like a fleeting illusion that could only be pursued but never attain.
But what this people don’t know is that you don’t chase success.
The reason being that success is like a butterfly.
If you chase butterflies, they fly away.
So, if you want to catch butterflies, what do you do?
You don’t go on working harder, chasing harder, sprinting harder or sacrificing more and more.
What you will simply do is to create a beautiful garden and butterflies will start coming on their own.
In the same vein, bees don’t go looking for flowers.
Flowers become so rich in nectar that bees are attracted to them.
Success works the exact same way.
So, success is not something you chase, rather it is something you attract.
As a human being, how would you become successful?
By first of all realizing that success does not come by grinding relentlessly in the outside, but rather by building relentlessly in the inside.
So, what it means is, if you want to be successful, you don’t have to chase it, you have to attract it.
The same way butterfly ‘catachers’ create beautiful gardens to attract butterflies and flowers become rich in nectar to attract bees, you have to use personal development to attract success.
When you become more valuable, among the best, if not the best in your chosen field, opportunities would start looking for you, better jobs, better clients, better connections and better outcomes.
Not that you go out looking for them; they will come looking for you because you are good enough.
A valuable person doesn’t say “please remember me”, because his values always keep him on the consciousness of those who needs his skills.
So in attracting success, personal development is not just an option, it’s the game.
If you can double your skills, your mindset, your character, you don’t have to carry placards for raise in income. It would come without you even asking for it.
The truth is that in the employment market, you don’t get paid for what you want.
You get paid for what you become, your value.
In the wage department, there is a belief that people are paid according to the value that they are adding to the business, therefore, whoever, wants an increment have to increase his value and whoever wants double wage have to double his value.
So, going from the above, you would have so much more than what you have right now if you can double your value and when you grow, everything else grow with you.
You can become whatever you want to be on this earth if you are willing to invest in personal development.
The pathway is your mindset.
Are you willing to invest on your personal development?
Mind you the only limit that you have is your thought and never the opinions of others.
