Satanic kidnappers have targetted one of the daughters of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. Their evil plot was however thwarted by the State Security Service (SSS), which paraded the suspects this afternoon in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
Speaking with newsmen at the SSS head office, Assistant Director Public Affairs of the Service, Marilyn Ogar, said that the suspects, Hamza Abubakar and Lawrence Okoro Dennis, planned to kidnap and detain the lady in Zuba at the residence of an acquaintance to Dennis.
“The Service acting on actionable intelligence nullified the plot before it was actualized, and both Hamza Abubakar and other collaborators shall be charged to court soon,” Ms Ogar said.
She refused to disclose the name of the Yar’Adua daughter targetted by the suspects, saying that it would compromise the person’s security.
The SSS spokesperson said the suspects were arrested on August 21 as they perfected plans to kidnap the daughter of the late President at a construction site in Kado Estate, Abuja.
According to her, “Hamza cultivated friendship with one Abu Katsina, a guard at the lady’s construction site. This afforded him leverage to visit the area regularly.
“Having obtained sufficient information on the lady, he contacted Dennis, who was in Owerri at the time. Both Dennis and Hamza co-opted Daddy Mohammed, Isa Keteri, Masaudu Kateri and IK (full name not known).”
