
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, September 29, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions with some level of dryness expected in the air around Maiduguri, Damaturu, Potiskum, Nguru and Katsina. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 36°C.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of morning rains in and around Niger, Parts of Abuja, and Ibi. Afternoon/evening thunderstorms are likely over parts of Plateau, Nassarawa, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Southern Kaduna, Taraba and the Mambilla Plateau. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 – 32°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Morning rains are likely around Enugu, Ebonyi and Cross River states. A mix of thunderstorms and rain is expected later in the evening period over the coastal cities and the inland areas of Akure, Oshogbo, Shaki, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Benin, Warri, Asaba, Owerri, Umuahia, Awka and Calabar. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32°C.
