The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today,Monday, September 26, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto and Yelwa axis in the morning. Sunny conditions are expected over Nguru and Northern Borno with chances of isolated thunderstorms over other places in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 36°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Minna, Bida, Bauchi, Gombe, Ibi, Jalingo, Yola and Mambila axis. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32°C, except Jos and Mambila Plateau which are likely to be 25°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the inland of the Southwest with chances of localised rain showers over Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka, Obudu and Ogoja axis in the morning. There are prospects of thunderstorms over most places later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 31°C.
