
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, September 25, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy Morning is expected with prospect of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau, Katsina, Zaria and Kaduna. Thundery activities are expected over Maiduguri, Potiskum and Damaturu while most other places are expected to be cloudy in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorm is anticipated over Abuja, Minna, Bida, Makurdi, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau, Yola, Ibi, Lafia, Lokoja and Ilorin in the morning. In the afternoon/evening period localised thunderstorm are expected in the region. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25 – 31oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Rains are expected over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Awka, Onitsha, Asaba, Eket, Calabar, Warri and Port Harcourt in the morning. Thunderstorms with rains are not unlikely over inland and the coastal cities respectively in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 – 30°C.
