Saudis grill Nigerian pilgrims nabbed with cocaine

Kwara state Amirrul Hajj to the just-concluded Hajj operations in Saudi Arabia, Justice Idris Haroon, has disclosed that three Kwara pilgrims arrested in Saudi Arabia for alleged cocaine trafficking are still alive, but are undergoing interrogation in Saudi Arabia.

Justice Haroon disclosed this when the last batch of pilgrims from the state arrived in Ilorin, the state capital.

According to him, “Suspects have not been executed but are still under investigation of the Saudi Arabia authority.”

The last batch comprising 509 Pilgrims arrived from the Holy land after the completion of Hajj rites.

All the pilgrims, including aged women and men, arrived with their luggage. Haroon described this year’s Hajj operation as very successful.
